Time: Wednesday, June 8 from 14:00 to 15:30
Location: Room E
Chair: Shirley Wood UKERNA (GB)

Many NRENs deal directly with the computer centre staff at each of their connected organisations and in very few cases ever deal with the end user. As the networks develop NRENS are keen to identify the end user requirements for services. Identifying and contacting individual end users is not straightforward and the numbers involved make the maintenance of the data a significant challenge.

The three presentations in this session will focus on ways in which different NRENs are contacting the end user.

Presentations in this session:

Title Speaker
(GN2) Segmenting the European Research and Education Networking User Base: Approach and Findings to Date Dale Robertson (DANTE)
Reaching user communities: lessons and questions from the Internet2 experience Heather Boyles (Internet2)
SURFnet's Community Support Elise Roders (SURFnet)
