Robert Kvavik will present the findings from a major study of networking practices and trends in higher education that was carried out by ECAR in 2004 and encompasses survey results from 524 US and Canadian colleges and universities.

Jochen Schiller will explain that sensor networks are currently one of the hype topics in networking.The talk will put this topic into a realistic perspective:what are the benefits,what are the current and future problems, and what are the possible applications of sensor networks.
