Time: Monday, June 6 from 16:00 to 17:30
Location: Room B
Chair: Shirley Wood UKERNA (GB)

The research and higher education communities within each country were primarily responsible for the development of their own NREN. They have continued to push forward the development of the NREN to cater for their advanced research requirements as well as their day to day activities. However, governments have realised the potential of these advanced networks and are looking to widen their use. This session will look at areas of widening participation and also the tools in use.

Presentations in this session:

Title Speaker
Accessing Content via the UK Schools Education Network Rob Symberlist (UKERNA)
Biblioteca d'Alessandria: A Peer-to-peer Network for Scholar Knowledge Exchange Alessandro Yoshi Polliotti (CNR - IMM)
Sakai Project Joseph Hardin (University of Michigan)
