Time: Wednesday, June 8 from 16:00 to 17:30
Location: Room E
Chair: Dale Robertson DANTE (GB)

As research and education networking matures, many NRENs are addressing the need to develop and offer services which meet users' requirements. The prevalence of public funding in research networking means there are significant differences between NRENs and the commercial environment in the area of product management and end user support.

The three presentations in this session will focus on some of the approaches being taken by Europe's NRENs to tackle the challenges they face in product and service provision.

Presentations in this session:

Title Speaker
Life Cycle and Portfolio Management from an NRN Perspective Walter Van Dijk (SURFnet bv)
How to Support and Get Away with It Pekka Linna (CSC - Finnish IT Centre for Science)
From Strategy to Implementation: Implications for NREN Product Management. Ann Harding (HEAnet)
