Position: Director, Center for Computation & Technology
Ed Seidel is Director of the Center for Computation & Technology at Louisiana State University and Floating Point Professor of Physics and Computer Science. He is a physicist recognised worldwide for his work on numerical relativity, black holes, and high-performance computing. Ed Seidel holds a Ph.D. from Yale University. He worked at the University of Illinois, leading the Numerical Relativity group of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. He has been a professor at the Max-Planck-Institut für Gravitationsphysik (Albert Einstein Institute) in Germany.
